The Danish Cancer Society’s Centre for Research on Survivorship and Late Adverse Effects After Cancer in the Pelvis Organs researches late effects of different types of cancer in the pelvic area. These late effects are often subject to taboo and cause both mental and physical challenges that strongly reduce the patients social life as well as the quality of life. The centre will focus on how many, how often and why the different late effects arise with the intention of improving treatment of pelvic cancer.

The centre is managed by Professor and DMSc Søren Laurberg, Aarhus University, together with the Steering Committee:

  • Professor and DMSc Peter Christensen, Aarhus University Hospital
  • Professor and DMSc Klaus Krogh, Aarhus University Hospital
  • Professor and DMSc Asbjørn M. Drewes, Aalborg University Hospital
