Scientific Council

The members of the Scientific Council in DCCC are appointed by the Governance Board on the basis of their specialist knowledge within the field of cancer and their extensive national and international networks. They advise DCCC on scientific and patient-related issues. Moreover, the Scientific Council is the driver for new regional and national initiatives to promote Danish research, prevention and treatment within the field of cancer.

The Scientific Council recommends a Chair for the Steering Committee and elects its officers by appointing a Deputy Chair and three more members; together with the Chair and the Vice Chair they form an executive committee.

The Scientific Council will:

Be innovative, entrepreneurial and participate in the debate on topics within the field of cancer.
Act as a driver for new regional and national initiatives to promote Danish research, prevention and treatment within the field of cancer.
Develop national and international collaborations and networks within the field of cancer.
