Early detection of cancer lowers the cancer mortality as the best chance of recovery is when the tumor is still small and localised. An increasing list of specific risk factors is known from blood samples, imagine procedures and other techniques but the clinical value for early detection of these risk factors is in most cases unknown. Denmark is ideal for carrying out studies to produce the necessary knowledge of early detection if we solve the existing administrative and logistic challenges and involve the citizens.
We wish to establish a network to form the basis for high-evidence studies across every type of cancer.
