The aim of the meeting is to provide an update on current onco-cardiologic projects and develop new projects to gain more knowledge on heart disease after oncological treatment and improve treatment of cancer
patients with heart disease.
The purpose of DCCC Onco-Cardiology – DOC is to optimise Danish research in cardinal late effects of cancer therapy by facilitating national research protocols. The network will ensure that Danish research groups working with cardio-oncological projects are acquainted and collaborate to the greatest extent possible. DOC will increase the focus on cardio-oncological issues and contribute to all patients in risk of developing heart diseases following cancer therapy are receiving optimal follow-ups and treatments.
During the meeting there will be time to develop and optimize new project ideas. The focus is on national and interdisciplinary projects with participation from oncologists, cardiologists, medical physicists, and other
relevant specialties.
The meeting might be cancelled if corona virus and applicable guidelines do not allow physical participation. If the meeting is cancelled, we will postpone the meeting instead of planning virtual participation, as one of the main objectives is networking.
