The European Cancer Survivorship and Rehabilitation Symposium (ECRS) 2022 will take place in 26 and 27 September 2022.

This will be the sixth time we organize this Acta Oncologica Symposium for clinicians, researchers, and people employed in the health administration on all levels in our European societies and abroad.

ECRS 2022 hopefully attracts a diverse group of participants, working with cancer reabilitation and survivorship - no matter if you work in the local community, the hospital sector, administration, advocacy or research. The degree of self-participation, decision sharing, and caretaking is rising concurrently during but also after treatment, spilling into after-care and rehabilitation.

How can we address the challenges of the increasing incidence of late effects in our population of cancer survivors in which every second cancer patient already had another chronic dissease at diagnosis?

The XIXth Acta Oncoogica Symposium is our way to become updated by top international scientists in our field but also an excellent opportunity for live, real, person-to-person communication with colleagues. Take your time, listen, make notes, discuss and reflect.

ECRS 2022 offers, as always challenging keynote presentations, examples include:

  • The fragile cancer survivor
  • Prostate cancer screening: perspectives for survivorship
  • Exercise as medicine in survivorship
  • Social inequality in late effects and quality of life
  • PRO - hype or useful?
  • Real world rehabilitation
  • Complex cancer care
