This year, Danish Comprehensive Cancer Center (DCCC) and Danish Multidisciplinary Cancer Groups (DMCG.dk) held the Danish Cancer Research Days on the 31th of August and 1st of September in Odense. We invited all interested to send in abstracts on research projects, clinical trials or other research activities related to cancer. A total of 197 abstracts were submitted.

From the submitted abstracts, our interdisciplinary committee selected the researchers, who got the opportunity to transform their abstract into a physical poster.

This year's poster session was scheduled to be a moderated poster-walk with discussion groups. Each group consisted of approx. 10 posters and each 'poster-presenter' had 3 min. to present and 2 min. to answer questions. Each group had two moderators who nominated the best poster from their track, and then the Judging Committee chose the winner of the 'Best Poster Award'.

The award was given to Mathis Ersted Rasmussen from the Department of Oncology at Aarhus University Hospital.
