In the past 10-15 years, considerable progress has been made in the treatment of lung cancer in Denmark. However, lung cancer is still the cancer type from which most patients die in Denmark. This afternoon, we will focus on how we can improve to make the diagnosis as early as possible - and thus improve treatment options, survival and quality of life.

Researchers and clinicians from the Danish National Centre for Lung Cancer Research will give an insight into the disease and the current research in the area through a series of presentations. We will also hear a patient talk about his lung cancer course and the quality of life he has achieved despite the disease. There will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions along the way.

We hope to see patients, relatives, professionals and other interested parties in the hall and online for a lecture at eye level about patient related research in lung cancer.

The event takes place on January 17, at 16:00-18:20 in the auditorium 'På Bjerget' (Building S1) at Vejle Hospital.
