Grant received in 2021

DCCC has funded 188.689 DKK to the project

Venous thromboembolism in patients with cancer is common and has a significant impact on the prognosis. Based on this, a multidisciplinary network has been established supported by the DCCC. We now want to continue this important work within this important area focused on planning and organizing national investigatorinitiated studies and attract external research grants. With the ultimate aim of improving prevention and treatment of patients with cancer associated thrombosis.

We aim to plan and organize multidisciplinary investigator-initiated studies, which will provide knowledge on:

  • The risk of venous thromboembolism in patients with stage IIIa primary lung cancer undergoing curatively intended chemo-radiation therapy.
  • Information needs and preferences among patients with lung cancer who develop VTE.
