Danish Comprehensive Cancer Center (DCCC) and Danish Multidisciplinary Cancer Groups (DMCG.dk) hope to see you at the 3rd Danish Cancer Research Days in Odense on 26 and 27 August 2021. We invite all those interested to send in abstracts on research projects, clinical trials or other research activities related to cancer.

Background
Danish Cancer Research Days 2021 is the largest Danish cancer conference, which brings together researchers, clinicians, patients, and policy makers. We will again this year invite selected submitters to present their research on stage. Danish Comprehensive Cancer Center (DCCC) and the Danish Multidisciplinary Cancer Groups (DMCG.dk) hope to see you at the 3rd Danish Cancer Research Days.
Invitation to present research findings
During the conference, we would like to present current research covering the entire Danish cancer field. We invite all those interested to submit abstracts on research projects, clinical trials or other research activities related to cancer.
Abstracts will be evaluated on the basis of cancer relevance as well as on the outcomes, quality, and generalisability of the research. In addition, the perspectives of the project; how newsworthy the study is and the extent of the national embedding will be taken into consideration. Abstracts on ongoing projects and clinical protocols are also welcome.
Poster presentation
This year the poster session will be virtual and accepted posters will be accessible online only for registered participants from mid-August to mid-September. Submitters of accepted abstract will be required to send in their poster in pdf-format, possibly including a video presentation. More information to follow.
Please note that the poster must be publishable by the organisers on social media and websites during or immediately after the conference.
Presentation on stage
Seven abstract submitters will be given the opportunity to present their research on stage in the session 'Aktuel dansk kræftforskning i rampelyset'/'Current Danish cancer research in the spotlight'. After submission deadline, seven presenters will be selected; information about this process will be sent directly to the selected presenters. The criteria for selection are originality, scientific quality, and cancer relevance.

Regrettably, it is not an option to save the content whilst working on the form, so please prepare all information prior to filling in the form. Please be careful that all information, titles, grammar etc. is correct, as the text will be used to generate an electronic abstract book for all participants at Danish Cancer Research Days which will be accessible online as previous years.

The presenting author is responsible for presenting the poster and must register for the conference. Only one abstract per presenting author is allowed. Abstracts and posters can be made and presented in either Danish or English according to your preference.
Submission deadline
We request that you submit your abstract through the link above no later than 28 April 2021. Information regarding acceptance will be sent to the listed e-mail address by 4 June 2021. Separate information will be sent to those who are selected to present on stage.

Registration for the conference opens early May on www.dccc.dk and www.dmcg.dk and ends early July. Please note: submitting an abstract is not a registration for the conference.

Why submit an abstract to Danish Cancer Research Days 2021?
Danish Cancer Research Days 2021 is the largest Danish cancer conference which brings together researchers, clinicians, patients and decision makers for knowledge sharing.
Again this year, selected abstract submitters will be invited to present their research on stage in a session dedicated to the most recent research results within the cancer field.
The posters will be displayed virtually and will be accessible to all participants in the conference.
How do I submit my abstract?
Please submit your abstract through the link below no later than 28 April 2021 (the form closes at midnight). A confirmation of accepted abstracts will be sent to the listed e-mail address by 4 June 2021.

How are the submitted abstracts reviewed?
Submitted abstracts will be reviewed on the basis of an overall assessment which includes cancer relevance as well as the outcomes, quality, and generalisability of the research. In addition, the perspectives of the project; how newsworthy the study is and the extent of the national embedding will be taken into consideration.
Can I submit an abstract on an ongoing study that does not generate data prior to the conference?
Abstracts on ongoing projects and clinical protocols are welcome.
Can I submit an abstract with data presented at other conferences?
Yes, data may have been presented before. Danish Cancer Research Days is an interdisciplinary conference. Therefore, abstracts based on data that have been presented at e.g. conferences within medical specialities or international conferences are welcome.
How will my poster be displayed if my abstract is accepted?
• Poster session: The posters will be displayed virtually and will be accessible online from mid-August till mid-September. The posters will be accessible only for registered participants
• Presentation on stage: Seven abstract submitters will be chosen to present their research on stage in the conference session "Current Danish cancer research in the spotlight". The criteria for selection are originality, scientific quality and cancer relevance. Further information about the process will be sent directly to the selected submitters. The seven selected presenters are not to bring a poster

We are two (or more) abstract authors, who should be named as presenting author?
It is only possible to enter one presenting author, it is necessary to decide before submitting the abstract.
Will the conference programme be in English?
Abstracts and posters can be made and presented in either Danish or English according to your preference. The majority of the additional presentations at the conference will be in Danish. Programme details will be updated on the Danish Cancer Research Days site when registration opens.
Where do I register for participation in Danish Cancer Research Days 2021?
An abstract submission is not a simultaneous registration for the conference.
