DCCC supports seven promising initiatives in the last application round of 2024.
11-12-2024

A highly competent group of applicants have enabled DCCC to focus more on the preparation of national and multidisciplinary investigator-initiated studies in the fourth and final funding round of the year. At the same time, two new national and interdisciplinary networks are being established.

In total, DCCC has funded national interdisciplinary initiatives with nearly DKK 4 million in 2024. The funding is provided as 'seed money' with the aim of supporting the development of infrastructure that promotes knowledge sharing and collaboration in cancer research.

The seven initiatives in this funding focus on a wide range of cancer types and aspects of cancer treatment.

The initiatives include the preparation of studies on metastatic breast cancer and the identification of physical and psychosocial resources for cancer patients, home treatment for hematological cancer patients, prostate cancer screening, the development of an odontogram for radiotherapy in head and neck cancer patients, as well as two new networks focused on palliative needs assessment and clinical adaptive radiotherapy.
