The new call is intended to provide support to well-established national and interdisciplinary networks seeking to expand and sustain their successful initiatives.

For the past seven years, DCCC has been pivotal in establishing national and interdisciplinary networks within the cancer field and across sectors. These networks have significantly contributed to advancing cancer research and, most importantly, ensuring that new knowledge and innovations benefit patients.

“DCCC networks facilitate knowledge sharing and foster dialogue across professional groups, connecting clinical practitioners, university researchers, and professionals from other sectors. We are therefore pleased to provide targeted support to ensure these networks can continue and further develop their essential contributions,” states Henrik Frederiksen, Chair of DCCC’s Scientific Committee.

This targeted call is aimed at both DCCC-supported networks and national research centers. It provides support for networks to sustain and expand their activities, while offering resources to research centers to support their continued operation after the conclusion of their initial funding period.

Applicants can request up to 200,000 DKK in funding to support the maintenance and expansion of network activities. As always, DCCC-supported networks must remain open to all professionals with a relevant interest

Details about the call are available on the 'Søg støtte' page (in Danish). Applications are now open, and the deadline for submissions is February 17, 2025.

DCCC’s regular funding pool will continue in 2025

Applications for support from DCCC’s regular funding pool will still be accepted quarterly.

This funding pool is an integral part of DCCC’s strategy to establish Denmark as a cohesive research network characterised by high-quality standards. The funding serves as "seed money," designed to strengthen infrastructure, promote knowledge sharing, and foster collaboration in research and development across all phases of the cancer care continuum.

The primary objective of this funding pool is to support the planning of national, independent clinical studies and to facilitate the establishment of new national and interdisciplinary networks across cancer fields and sectors. DCCC identifies a continued need for networks that prioritise cross-sectoral collaboration, ensuring that research and development encompass all stages of the cancer care pathway.

Further details on DCCC’s regular funding pool are available on the ‘Søg støtte’ page (in Danish). Applications are open, with a submission deadline of February 3, 2025.
