Call for Abstracts

Deadline 10 April 2026 at 12.00 PM

Danish Cancer Research Days brings together health professionals and researchers working in the field of cancer, as well as patients and policy makers from across the country every year at the largest Danish cancer conference. Since 2018, Danish Cancer Research Days has been a key platform within a nationwide initiative, where DMCG.dk and DCCC collaborate to enhance knowledge dissemination and expedite the translation of research into clinical practice. Once again, this year, we aim to highlight the breadth and scientific excellence of current Danish cancer research.

We invite all interested researchers from both translational and clinical research, across specialties, disciplines and sectors to submit abstracts on research projects, clinical trials or other research activities related to cancer.

A unique opportunity to present research findings and strengthen scientific networks
The conference's poster session is structured as guided presentations, where presenters have the opportunity to deliver an oral summary of their research and engage in discussions with attendees.

This format provides a valuable platform for scientific exchange and networking. Presenting during the poster session offers an excellent opportunity to disseminate and discuss your research with experts from diverse disciplines across the country.

Categories

We call for abstracts within the entire cancer field. The categories in the submission form are as follows; please choose the most fitting category.

  • Basic and translational cancer research
  • Screening and early diagnostics
  • Personalised medicine, biomarkers and diagnostics
  • Clinical trials
  • Morbidity, late effects and rehabilitation
  • Patient involvement
  • Palliation and psychosocial support
  • Clinical epidemiology and database research

Selection of abstracts

The submitted abstracts will be evaluated by a multidisciplinary judging committee. Up to 110 posters will be presented at the conference, and the selection of abstracts is based on a comprehensive assessment of:

  • Relevance to cancer research and generalizability
  • Scientific quality and impact of the findings
  • Innovation, future perspectives, and national significance

Priority will be given to clinical studies with results, though submissions on ongoing studies, clinical protocols and other research activities relevant to the field of cancer are also encouraged.

Among the submitted abstracts, seven promising new researchers will be selected to present their research on stage during the conference.

Abstract submission

You can submit your abstract via the form: Call for Abstracts 2026.

It is not an option to save the content whilst working on the form, so please prepare all information prior to filling in the form.

The information submitted in the form will be used to generate an electronic abstract book, which will be distributed to conference participants and made available in the days before and after the conference.
