Grant received in 2023

DCCC has funded 200.000 DKK to the project.

More patients are becoming long-term survivors after curatively intended cancer treatment thanks to improved cancer surgery. Traditionally, follow-up programs have focussed solely on the detection of cancer recurrence.

The purpose of the proposed network is to provide evidence of, develop and improve the follow-up care programs after curative cancer surgery.

Thus, the planned network is meant to encourage a discussion and investigation on these subjects: How can we monitor patients effi ciently for cancer recurrence? How can we effi ciently monitor general, psychological and organ-specifi c late adverse eff ects? One solution could be patient reported outcome measures (PROMs), the collection of which could be aided by digital, smartphone-based solutions. Finally, we would like to investigate how to treat not only organ-specifi c, but also general and psychological late adverse eff ects in a systematic and standardised setting.
