DCCC has funded 200,000 DKK to the project.

The project will establish a new national multidisciplinary network for the development of palliative radiotherapy. The network aims to enhance the quality of palliative radiotherapy by identifying knowledge gaps, focusing on individual treatment centered on patient care, ensuring equal access to high-quality palliative radiotherapy, and conducting pragmatic prospective national trials to support evidence-based treatment.

The project will host a two-day multidisciplinary workshop with participants from all oncology departments, aiming to:

• Map treatment patterns
• Survey research activities
• Identify unmet patient needs and knowledge gaps
• Plan future national research activities

A moderator experienced in national platform trials will assist the process. A comprehensive report detailing the initiatives and a plan for implementation will be written.
