DCCC has funded 200,000 DKK to the project

Recently, genomic research of glioblastoma has led to new discoveries of the composition of tumor. This has led to new theories on treating the cancer with immunotherapy, which, have improved survival in many other cancers. Glioblastoma however, which is an incurable type of brain cancer, has not yet been able to take part in this development.

The possible reasons for the missing development are many, including not taken the personal mutational landcape into account. So far, the knowledge on proteomics from the patients' mutations are limited. We need to increase knowledge on personal translational medicine in battling glioblastoma.

We want to initiate a national project of proteomics based upon the patients’ tumor genome sequencing. We want to investigate changes over time.

This trial will be a national translational collaboration between the Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Protein Research at the University of Copenhagen, Genomic Departments and neuro-oncological departments.
