DCCC has funded 90,000 DKK to the project.

Cancer related fatigue is a widespread problem that causes trouble with the everyday life for 40 pct. of the patient group.

Patients with haematological cancer have particular issues with fatigue but at the same time it is the problem they feel the poorest support of both under and after treatment. Studies suggest that the stimulant medication methylphenidate (MTP) might be useful for treating cancer related fatigue, though hardly any haematological patients have participated in the studies.

Improving quality of life and functional capacity in haematological cancer is a clinically controlled experiment which also sets the frame for collaboration on research and development of palliation and supporting therapy for haematological cancer.
