Received grant in 2018
The ambition of the network is to create greater knowledge and implement a national strategy for the majority of Danish cancer patients: the elderly. The network will focus on oncogeriatrical issues to help older cancer patients to receive optimal and individual courses based on their personal resources and wishes. One way to realise this, is by formulating new interdisciplinary research projects.
In the spring of 2024, DCCC Age transitioned into the Danish Society for Geriatric Oncology (DSGO). The primary objective of the society is to promote the development of assessment and treatment of older cancer patients, as well as to improve conditions for research within geriatric oncology. The society is multidisciplinary and is aimed at professionals who, in their clinical or research work, have an interest in the assessment, treatment, or rehabilitation of older people with cancer.
